So, there's a lot you may do differently but that doesn't solve the immediate problem: how are you going to manage your manager so that you have a productive relationship that you (and they) benefit from?
If we start looking at our relationship with our managers as one that seeks to benefit both sides, we may think about how we work with our manager differently so that we can get the oft spoken about "win/win".
