As a working mom trying to “have it all”, I often feel a sense of guilt. Am I working too hard that I’m missing important milestones in my kids childhood? Am I spending too much time with my kids and not enough time focusing on career building? So, these are the skills that I bring to my work that my children have helped me hone. The characteristics listed above are just some of the experiences parents have that help them to be better leaders. I hope by addressing the leadership skills parents develop, we can make room for diverse leadership styles in the workplace, and in doing this see greater returns and a more inclusive, better experience for all employees. === P.S - I would like to thank my team, Olivia, (9) Henry, (6) and Reese (2) for their support and powerful workplace training.
